patioResearch shows that the environment plays an important role in helping individuals with memory impairment understand what is going on in the space around them. While Grandview Gardens, our Alzheimer's & Dementia care assisted living community, was intentionally designed to be intimate and easy to navigate, it offers ample, homey gathering spaces such as its dining room, living room, family room, arts and craft room and full-service beauty salon/barber shop.

kitchenOutdoors, Grandview Gardens offers a fully-enclosed garden patio which makes fresh air and natural beauty a daily luxury. Residents have the freedom to walk safely or to spend time enjoying the outdoors gardening or simply visiting with friends and family.

Our residents’ security is of the utmost importance. Windows in the apartments open partially. Exterior doors are alarmed and our front entrance is equipped with a digital security camera.

The philosophy of our programming is to encourage and promote life-learned activities; embrace and remember the past; and find pleasure and joy in the moment!

Our therapeutic programs are designed to nurture the spirit, mind and body and to support the emotional and physical well being of our residents. Some examples are:

Alzheimer's & Dementia Care

Our therapeutic program is not only scheduled activities provided by our staff, but also an ongoing 24-hour interaction with residents, families, friends, and volunteers. Residents who are awake at night are invited to spend time with our staff, have something to drink, sit and talk or just be reassured that they are safe.  To view our activity calendar, please click here.

Apartment Views

Grandview Gardens consists of 20 private studio apartments designed for comfort, practicality and safety. Each apartment features:

  • Private full bath with walk-in shower and safety features
  • Ample closet space
  • Large double windows which open partially
  • Draperies
  • Carpeting
  • Cable television
  • Telephone connection
  • Individually controlled heating and cooling
  • 24- hour emergency call/response system
